ANAPRI at COP28

In the pursuit of sustainable development and the fight against climate change, global cooperation and evidence-based strategies is very important. The Africa Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes (ANAPRI), in collaboration with USAID, Michigan State University (MSU), and Akademiya2063 (A2063), seized the spotlight during COP28 in Dubai with a dedicated session titled “Accelerating the Implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) in Africa.” Held at the prestigious African Union Pavilion, the side event emphasized the Comprehensive Africa Climate Change Initiative (CACCI) project and underscored the necessity of private sector involvement for lasting impact.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE ReNAPRI CONFERENCE 2023

The just concluded ReNAPRI Conference, held from the 14th to the 16th of November, 2023, at the Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, was a resounding success, bringing together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to deliberate on crucial issues facing the food system in Africa. The three-day event featured a diverse range of sessions, discussions, and celebrations that encapsulated the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and progress.

ANAPRI PARTNERS TO SUPPORT GREEN GROWTH

In the quest for a sustainable future, it is important to note that collaboration and partnerships are crucial. One such powerful alliance is the partnership between the Africa Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes (ANAPRI) and the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MGEE). This partnership is designed to implement the Comprehensive Africa Climate Change Initiative (CACCI) in Zambia to generate a proof of concept that would then be upscaled in the African continent, in the quest for sustainable development.
