Seth Kwizera - BOARD MEMBER

Seth Kwizera has been the Executive Director of the Economic Policy Research Network (EPRN) since 2016. He has an MSc in Intellectual Property from Africa University-Zimbabwe, MBA from Kigali Independent University and a BSc in Economics from University of Rwanda with more than 25 years’ experience in agricultural policy and agribusiness management and analysis. He is one of Rwanda’s leading agribusiness practitioners and professionals.

Seth also has more than 20 years’ experience in projects/programs management focusing on strategic planning and leadership, trade and industrial development policies, value chains analysis and trade policy analysis, financial inclusion and projects management. Before joining EPRN, Seth was the Country Program Manager for the East African Grain Council managing Rwanda office. He also worked at the Ministry of Trade and Industry as Acting Director of Industrial Development Unit, and as an Imprest Administrator for the EU funded program to enhance competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises. Seth worked at the Single Projects Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Trade and Industry managing a number of donor funded programs and projects (projects with the European Union, UNDP, Netherlands Embassy, World Bank, UNEP, UNIDO).

Seth has a long experience in quantitative method analysis and implementing household surveys including, sampling, questionnaire development, supervision in data collection process, enumerators training, data base creation, cleaning and management, statistical analysis and quantitative report writing. He has worked as a consultant for some organizations such as FAO and Sight and Life.
